Sacred Belly Binding for Postpartum and Menses
Belly binding is a global cultural practice.
Many traditional postpartum binding practices have been culturally appropriated.
I strive to honor the long standing cultural traditions of postpartum binding while bringing an attention to the sacred act of assisting an individual to reconnect with themselves.
I am honored to share my knowledge and teachings of binding techniques to professionals, and persons whom are wanting to embrace this incredible practice.

My journey began in 2015 when I wrapped my body for after birth support.
None of the big box store " supportive postpartum" or "after birth garment" worked for my particular body frame.
Believe me, I tried a LOT of them.
Being a seeker of knowledge - I began learning of other cultural methods for supporting the body after child birth.
I learned of binding methods from Malaysia, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Africa , and many others.
Wrapping the pelvic floor for postpartum support is a global, cultural tradition.
Since then, I have completed professional development in several areas.
With the launch of my Academy of Holistic Cycles, my knowledge and trainings honor traditional cultures while establishing the foundation for an individual to feel a sacred connection to themselves.
My approach focuses on all the layers from bone to skin.
I have innovated unique methods to properly support the pelvic floor with belly binding, postpartum corrective exercises, and holistic natural care for the mind and body.

I pioneered belly binding for menstrual support and the use of a bind for
central nervous system grounding.
central nervous system grounding.
Through my practice and service of binding, I have developed a protocol of understanding what the bind is, and how to use it. My protocol honors the cultural significance of binding, along with proper anatomical support of the body.
Reconnecting Yourself & Feeling Beautiful
I adore everything about the bind and the binding process.
The body is supported.
The mind becomes present to the moment:
You reach homeostasis.
The practice becomes a grounding tool for the central nervous system.
It is truly INCREDIBLE.
I have felt it. I have witnessed others feel it.
Now I strive to share this powerful practice with you.

"All my insides are falling out..."
As a mother and a postpartum doula, this is something I have personally experienced and have heard many clients say as well. There is often a disconnect or discomfort in the body after birth. It is not uncommon to hear or feel:
"there is a heaviness in my pelvis"
"empty space inside my belly"
"I have so much back pain and pelvic floor aches"
"I cant get a good breathe"
"I don't feel connected to my body"
"I feel like I am always going to pee and I cannot control it"
"I don't like my belly"
"I don't feel beautiful"
It's the last one that needs to change first.
Birth is an astronomical shift in lifestyle, mind, and body. When a person does not feel beautiful or supported in their own body: it is virtually impossible for them to thrive in wellness and happiness.
After my first birth, I needed support.
I did not feel beautiful.
I felt triumphant for birthing my child.
I felt connected to my partner.
I felt love beyond love for my baby.
....but I also felt weak.
I felt vulnerable in my healing.
I had concerns I would not heal.
I felt I had lost my beautiful and was scared I would not get it back.
And since I did not feel beautiful, and that my body was not supported....dark thoughts were able to become bigger and bigger.
Due to my medical history, I was extremely scared cervical cancer would return in my body since I was in such a weakened state.
I needed support.
I needed a deep hug of comfort and a mind shift.
I found binding.
My mother sewed me a bind.
I began wrapping at day 6 postpartum.
I slowly got my beautiful back.
My body healed.
I created a self care ritual that allowed me to step back into my power.
